Alison Black met Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to have run and completed the Boston Marathon with an official number, at the Maine Coast All-Women's Half Marathon Expo in York, Maine on 9/22/07. Inspired by Kathrine's story about "crashing" the Boston Marathon 40 years ago, Alison proceeded to run her fastest time ever for a half marathon the next day.
