Club members voted to move our April meeting to the 4th Tuesday of the month,April 22nd. That will allow us to continue the tradition of holding the April meeting the day after the Boston Marathon so we can honor club members who ran, volunteered, or were spectators at the race.
WAIT, THERE’S MORE: Because of last year’s Boston Marathon tragedy the spotlight will be on this year’s Boston more so than in previous years. That is why the club is going to do something special onApril 22nd. We are going to partner with the Coastal Athletic Association, the Portsmouth based running club, and hold the meeting at Pease Tradeport (either Red Hook Brewery or Paddy’s). The meeting will be a celebration of runners from both clubs who ran Boston.
We realize it means a longer drive to the meeting but this will be a special night and I hope you all attend.
